Once the morning rains clear, take advantage of the cool breezes to explore the nearby town of Takua Pa. A forgotten relic of pre-war mining in the area, this Indo-Chinese influenced settlement was once the bustling hub of the region. Time has left Takua Pa a peaceful town inhabited mainly by locals, perfect for strolling around to experience fascinating temples and local food and culture.
Khao Lak and Phang Nga are prized for hidden attractions off the tourist trail, and nothing could be more hidden than the underground wonders of Phung Chang Cave.
